MIKE STEPHENSON

Sandy and I have been married for 47 years. We have both worked careers in education. After we retired, we served a mission to the New York/Pennsylvania Church Historic Sites mission.  I became known to fellow missionaries as the “History Geek” because of all the in-depth research and presentations I shared with others about early church history. 

I earned a bachelor’s and master’s degree in History and Health and taught US History. I spent 37 years in the Middle School both in the classroom and administration. I retired as the Principal of Pine View Middle School in St. George, Utah.  I then worked for five years as a Hospice chaplain and learned to work both emphatically  and compassionately with the elderly.

Sandy received her bachelor’s degree in psychology and after she raised our four children, she began working as a librarian in an elementary school.
